HOW DO EU MEMBER STATES TREAT CASES OF MISSING UNACCOMPANIED MINORS?

The purpose of this inform is to map how the cases of unaccompanied children going missing are being treated in the Member States, and how data on missing children is collected.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON VOLUNTARY AND FORCED RETURN PROCEDURES AND POLICY RESPONSES

This Inform reports on voluntary and forced return procedures and policy responses in EU and OECD Member States between March and September 2020. As was the case in other areas of migration, COVID-19 measures particularly affected the implementation of return procedures since many migrants who had no legal basis to remain were only able to return to their country of origin if travel was permitted and flights were available.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN EU AND OECD MEMBER STATES

This Inform provides information on the impact of COVID-19 on international students in EU and OECD countries, between February and June 2020. It covers both the admission of new international students who are not yet residing in EU and OECD countries, as well as the situation of those already physically present.
MAINTAINING LABOUR MIGRATION IN ESSENTIAL SECTORS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

This Inform reports on measures implemented at a national level, between March and July 2020, until August 2020, as a response to the COVID-19 crisis to facilitate the entry in the territory and access to the labour market of migrant workers in essential occupations/sectors, with a special focus on the agricultural sector. Moreover, the Inform reviews cases where undocumented third-country nationals in the EU have been offered a possibility to regularise their status for employment specifically in essential sectors
THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON REMMITANCES IN EU AND OCDE COUNTRIES

This Inform shows the impact of COVID-19 on international remittances in EU and OCDE countries since February 2020, covering in detail the main drivers possibly impacting remittance flows. It also outlines policy recommendations made at the international level to maintain the flow of remittances.
Year 2020

This report collects the main actions carried out by Spain in the migration field, which were influenced by the COVID-19 outbreak. Different measures were adopted to avoid the supervening irregularity of migrants who were already in Spain as workers, tourists, residents, or students. Other measures were implemented to adapt to new labour market needs (agricultural or health sector) which was very affected by the mobility restrictions. Also, certain actions were carried out in reception centers, border control, detention centers or development cooperation.
Attracting and protecting the rights of seasonal workers in the EU and UK

The objective of this study is to provide information on the different measures taken by the Member States and Norway in relation to the regulations and implementation of seasonal workers’ admission in the framework of the Directive 2014/34/EU of February 26, 2014, on the conditions of entry and stay of third-country nationals for the purpose of employment as seasonal workers.
Data processing in asylum procedures in the EU and Norway.

This study examines how data are managed in the different phases of the asylum procedure (making, registering, lodging and examining) across the Member States and Norway. It maps data management approaches in the asylum procedure (i.e. data protection and safeguards), examines challenges faced by Member States, and analyses the impact of any procedural changes to enhance data-sharing among asylum authorities (and others).
