Arrengements for accomodation and housing
This inform analyses the arrangements European Union (EU) Member States have put in place for accommodation and housing for beneficiaries of temporary protection, in the context of the activation of the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) (2001/55/EC).Most Member States use a combination of different forms of accommodation to host people fleeing Ukraine namely reception centres, hotels/hostels, used mostly for emergency situations, and private homes.
Access to services
This inform analyses how Member States have organised access to social benefits, education, employment and healthcare, for beneficiaries of temporary protection, in the context of the activation of the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) (2001/55/EC) .

The use of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in migration management
This joint EMN-OECD inform is the second of the 2021 series of informs on Innovation in Migration. This inform aims to explore the role of new digital technologies in the management of migration and asylum. It focuses on a number of specific areas in migration, acquisition of citizenship, asylum procedures and border control management where digital technologies may be used (e.g. digitalisation of application processes, use of video conferencing for remote interviews, use of artificial intelligence (AI) to assist decision making processes, use of blockchain technology). It also considers the implications of using these types of technologies on fundamental rights.
EXPLORING LEGAL PATHWAYS TO FULFIL LABOUR NEEDS
This inform aims to explore Member States’ experiences with new legal pathways in these two above-mentioned areas, namely Talent Partnerships and complementary work-related pathways for those in need of international protection.
SEPARATED AND MISSING MIGRANTS: MEMBER STATES APROACHES TO PREVENT FAMILY SEPARATION AND SEARCH MECHANISMS FOR MISSING MIGRANTS
This inform provides a comparative overview of the policy measures and practical approaches taken by Member States to prevent and manage the risks of third-country nationals going missing and their separation from family members, with a focus on three different scenarios: 1) when they first come into contact with authorities; 2) during transfers to one facility to another; and 3) during their stay in a Member State.
EU AND OECD MEMBERS STATES RESPONSES TO MANAGING RESIDENCE PERMITS AND MIGRANT UNEMPLOYEMENT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
This Inform reports on measures implemented due to the COVID-19 crisis in the fields of residence permits and unemployment in EU and OECD countries, between March and June 2020. Irregularly staying migrants were not included in the scope of this Inform, except for the issue of access to COVID-19 related emergency healthcare services.
THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 IN THE MIGRATION AREA IN EU AND OCDE COUNTRIES
Between July 2020 and January 2021, the EMN, in collaboration with other organizations developed a series of informs on the impact of COVID-19 on migration. This inform provides an update of these impacts as of December 2020, closes earlier information gaps, summarizes and analyses the key findings across the earlier informs and identifies the main challenges and learning points in responding to the pandemic at a national level.
HOW DO EU MEMBER STATES TREAT CASES OF MISSING UNACCOMPANIED MINORS?
The purpose of this inform is to map how the cases of unaccompanied children going missing are being treated in the Member States, and how data on missing children is collected.
